Royal Contract Lights Up Sonesta ES Suites

Royal Contract Lighting is pleased to announce that we have been selected as the public space lighting contractor for the Sonesta ES Suites hotel line. With the first property, the Sonesta ES Burlington (Massachusetts) refurbished with new interior design and lighting, we are completing 16 more hotels throughout the United States in 2014.

Seizing upon what it saw as a significant market opportunity, Sonesta International Hotels Corporation aggressively launched Sonesta ES Suites extended-stay properties in 17 U.S. markets, with more to come. The extended-stay line complements the full-service Sonesta and luxury Royal Sonesta brands in the company’s portfolio of 55 properties worldwide. The newly branded Extended Stay Suites, formerly either Staybridge Suites or Residence Inns, are all owned by Hospitality Properties Trust of Newton, MA, a real estate investment trust, or REIT, which owns 288 hotels and 185 travel centers located throughout the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico.

Due to our relationship with Sonesta International Hotels Corporation and our public space projects for Royal Sonesta hotels in Cambridge, Houston, and New Orleans, we were awarded the public space lighting contract for the entire Extended Suites program. The lighting was designed by Parker-Torres Design of Sudbury, MA, and includes chandeliers, lamps and sconces for the hotel lobbies, dining areas and meeting spaces.

Royal Contract Lighting provided engineering services for the lighting fixture fabrication, and will complete any final customization in-house. The lighting fixtures will be kitted and warehoused in our Taunton facility for on-demand deployment to individual properties across the U.S.

In addition to the Burlington location, you will find Sonesta ES Suites in Andover, MA; Atlanta, GA; Auburn Hills, MI; Charlotte, NC; Columbia, MD; Dublin, OH; Flagstaff, AZ; Houston, TX; Orlando, FL; Parsippany, NJ; Princeton, NJ; Malvern, PA; Myrtle Beach, SC; St. Louis, MO,; Schaumburg, IL; and Somerset, NJ.
