Royal Contract Lighting Names Eugene F. Tsui Chief Operating Officer
High-End Lighting Executive Has Experience Managing Growth, Containing Costs, and Maintaining Excellent Quality
TAUNTON, Massachusetts—November 8, 2017—Paul Spacek, President of Royal Contract Lighting, today announced the appointment of Eugene F. Tsui to the newly created role of Chief Operating Officer. Previously the General Manager of LASVIT (Shanghai) Ltd., Tsui will oversee global operations with a focus on managing the company, which is experiencing a growth surge. His first undertaking will be to strengthen the core leadership team to ensure that the organizational structure, formal processes, and best practices will be maintained and enhanced as the company expands and production continues to grow.
“Eugene’s reputation and experience will focus attention on Royal Contract Lighting’s own high-end manufacturing capabilities,” said Spacek. “Clients already know that we’re well equipped for on-time production of high-quality fixtures, but we want to make sure prospects are aware that our capabilities extend to deluxe, top-tier lighting.”
“Royal Contract Lighting’s tremendous growth makes for an exciting work opportunity,” said Tsui. “I look forward to the challenge of helping manage this growth so that the company can continue providing high-quality, cost-effective custom lighting fixtures, while expanding our markets and extending at the high end.”
Years of Design, Engineering, and Management Prepare Tsui for New Role
LASVIT (Shanghai) Ltd is one of the two powerhouses in the LASVIT group and is responsible for half of the company’s projects globally. As General Manager, Tsui was entrusted with P&L responsibility. He and his team implemented processes for operational excellence that enabled the unit to stay lean while growing. For several years prior, he served as Engineering Manager for the same organization, in which role he helped establish the R&D department.
Tsiu’s management experience follows stints of engineering work on behalf of LASVIT, as well as design work for a variety of clients, including Blackberry, Cathay Pacific, and Moët & Chandon. He earned a Masters of Engineering in Product Design Engineering from the University of Strathclyde.
